These strong, narrow, seaward flows of water extend from close to the shoreline to outside of the surf zone. They are found on almost any beach with breaking waves and can move almost anything in their way offshore, including people.”It’s really easy to get caught in one and not know it,” warned Tuo.Tuo offered some advice for those caught in a rip current.”Come back at an angle toward shore,” he said.
